Note on AFBA Names
|
(NOTE: It was not until after that 1st meeting was held, and we received the "Speak Out Atlanta" newsletter that this new upstart "Human Rights group" was called by, referred to by an unofficial name of "Atlanta Faith-Based Alliance" (AFBA). This name (AFBA) was referenced 3 or 4 times in that newletter --see below-- , and on Louis Hinton's website, but since it was a new group and from listening at that 1st meeting, the name (AFBA) did not mean anything to me at the time, I did not realize that the working name was "Atlanta Faith-Based Alliance" (AFBA) until during the 3rd meeting. That is why I kept unofficially changing the name of this meeting group from "Speak Out Community Forum" (at 1st meeting), to "Alliance for Faith Based Organizations" (at 2nd meeting), to "Atlanta Faith-Based Alliance" (AFBA) (at 3rd meeting), to "Atlanta Interfaith Alliance" (AIA) (before 4th meeting was held) (but (AIA) was the name given to the Yahoo! Groups message/email service of the (AFBA), which at the time I received the 1st email from that message group, I mistakenly thought was another new name change for our meeting group). It was not until I received an email from Lorraine Fontana that I realized there was no name change, but that the groups was refered to as "Atlanta Faith-Based Alliance" (AFBA) all along, but I did't realize it. I'm sorry for any confusion this may have caused. [This is what can happen when someone does things on their own, without input from the group, or from other folks. I, Bernard Wotton, started this wiki site (ONE in One) as a history of AFBA for my own personal use, to keep track of all that has happened so far concerning this new group, and to have all correspondenses, emails, newsletters, etc., in one place for easy reference for all to view. And since it is an editable wiki site, other folks could use it for their own notes, and for correcting mistakes, and for posting of anything that concerned the group for others to view, and add to it as needed, etc. I was hoping others would use this wiki site as one form of interactive communications between us. We can still use it to keep in touch with each other, to post what is going on, and post notes of what has taken place in upcomimg "conversational events", even if we don't meet officially as often for the time being. Thanks and Blessings!])
